Autumn and Halloween Inspiration

Half term has crept up on us, the days are drawing in and it will soon be time to for Halloween and Bonfire Night. We have seen some great posts and events coming up that we thought we would share a few ideas with you for the holiday time.

If you are out and about walking over the next few weeks, its a great time to collect leaves. This simple yet fun craft activity, children will love. Gather some leaves and simple string on twine. They look great hung on a dresser or wall to give an autumnal feel. Thank you to HayleysHomeSweetHome on instagram for sharing this with us.

We recently joined the National Trust and are excited at all the events coming up in half term. At some of our local National Trust properties they have different activities every day of half term including wild art, pumpkin carving and spooky stories. We can't wait to share with you what we get up to and you can follow more on our instagram. Last year we did pumpkin carving at our local petting zoo and this year we have grown our own pumpkins which will be fun to carve!

If your having your own halloween party, here are some cool ideas to try.

Decorate your own cupcakes. We used our bat cupcake toppers to create these masterpieces! Bake some straightforward cupcake and then use icing, sprinkles and toppers to finish them off.

HayleysHomeSweetHome baked these halloween biscuits with spooky cutters and decorated with coloured icing. A great idea for a wet day in the holidays! This year we are making these for our Halloween Tea Party!  Photo courtesy of Pinterest or find out more here.

Happy Halloween!
